December 2009: the project is there, we have to set-up an action about young Europeans that every day built our Europe of Nations. Through volunteering and the Youth in Action European Programme, it's now possible to live an experience abroad, ready to meet others cultures and create interculturality for a common effort.We get the first idea: it will be a video report with a website and a communication on social networks.
But where, how and when? The unit of time and place has its importance: summer 2010 in Latvia. An unknown country, without references to the French, too often confused with its neighbors Lithuania and Estonia, a way out of the ordinary, a bunch of nice young met in Barcelona, all these images, sounds and colors convince me in my choice.
After six months of preparation, hundreds of emails exchanged, hours on the phone, contacts, applications for grants and partnerships, presentations of the project, construction of the website, choice of the journey, purchase of the flight ticket, vaccines, worries, questions, others questions, it's now time to leave and I'm very proud to present publicly the project.
I'm expecting four weeks of great adventures. From July 14th to August 11th 2010, I go cross Latvia hoping to bring back a true and varied documentary that reveals the youth of this small Baltic country.
